Why is the internet obsessed with Margot Robbie’s feet? Even she is surprised

Margot Robbie, a star of The Suicide Squad, finds the internet’s infatuation with her feet “flattering.”

When Robbie appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Anthony Anderson as guest presenter, she talked about a feat she had done on set where she had to pick a lock with her toes. She said she “could open a lock no problem” and is “extremely dexterous” with her toes. She stated, “I remember we needed someone else because we had to get tight because I had to go to another set, but our editor, who also worked on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, said, ‘Those aren’t the feet of Margot Robbie.’ Margot Robbie’s feet have been seen by me.”

In response to Robbie’s comments, writer/director James Gunn, who appeared on the program alongside John Cena, said he is well aware of the public’s fascination with the Harley Quinn actor’s toes. I’m on Twitter, so I can assure you people want to see your feet, Gunn said. “I have no idea where these people come from. Is it possible to view Margot’s feet? That’s what you’re thinking about, I ask? Even if there are huge bombs, collapsing buildings, Idris Elba, John Cena, Margot Robbie and other fantastic actors, [her feet] are the stars.”

Robbie doesn’t mind if people on the internet are curious about her feet, which were featured prominently in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. During the interview, Robbie added, “It’s weird, but I’m flattered by it. Gunn said, referring to her as a “human Swiss army knife,” and said the stunt in question was not only the “hardest thing” he’d asked her to do on set, but also a “[he] never thought she could achieve that.”

Margot has to get her toes past a corpse, take a key off the body, flip her toes back to put the key in the lock above her head, unlock it, and then come straight down, according to Gunn. Margot is handcuffed above her head in this sequence. “I watch this; Honestly, torturing Margot was my favorite regular activity today.”

The Suicide Squad, which hits HBO Max and in theaters August 6, will feature all of Robbie’s stunts as Harley Quinn.
