Welcome to Chippendales Episode 8 Recap
The Chippendales business has exploded in the five years since Nick’s murder. After his failed attempt to kill three former Chippendales employees, Steve runs into Ray in Switzerland. Steve is incredibly paranoid and believes the FBI is following him. He suspects that Ray, acting a little weirder than usual, is out to get him and everyone else around him. Ray brings up Nick’s murder and the other atrocities Steve has forced him to commit over the years as the two begin to talk, but Steve is wise enough not to make direct confessions. However, Ray gradually wears him out, and Steve finally says the things that show he was responsible for everything.
In a flashback, we see how the person who shot Nick De Noia is being held by the police for drug possession. He exposes everything when the police ask him to provide information in exchange for a lighter sentence. This brings the FBI to Ray, who denies everything at first, but eventually decides to help them arrest Steve. The opportunity arises when Steve asks Ray to travel to London and kill three former Adonis strippers who, in Steve’s opinion, are taking advantage of him. A meeting is scheduled where the FBI bugs the room to record Steve’s confession when Ray is unable to complete the task.
Welcome to Chippendale’s Finale Ending: Why did Steve Banerjee commit suicide?
Steve Banerjee started his business alone and at the end he is still on his own. Despite the significant progress Chippendales has made in the five years since Nick’s passing, Steve must run the business alone. He still refuses to acknowledge that he is the one who forced all the individuals who contributed to the Chippendales’ current reputation to leave. Even when it comes to Nick’s murder, he stubbornly denies any responsibility for his actions, but we can tell he feels terrible about the impact his choices had on Irene.
Irene was the only person Steve really cared about other than the Chippendales. He regarded the others as his staff. They had to obey his every command because they were under him. But Irene was his partner, and he treated her as such, except for the occasions when he went off alone, leaving his company in a much worse position. When Steve is finally apprehended, his only thoughts are of Irene and the Chippendales, and it is this idea that ultimately leads him to commit himself to prison.
In the previous episode, when the FBI informed Steve that the death of Nick De Noia, a Chippendales associate, constituted a federal crime, Steve found that the Chippendales’ legal position was significantly greater than he had anticipated. In the next five years, Chippendales expands even further, crossing continents. Once again, Steve finds out that the success of his business is exactly what makes things worse for him when it comes to legality.
Steve was aware that no lawyer, no matter how famous or skilled, could do little because he was caught on camera confessing to Nick’s murder. He is aware of his impending life sentence. The fact that Chippendales is going to visit Irene is the only thing he is relieved about. This was settled in their divorce agreement, in which Steve stipulated that in the event of his death, his wife would inherit all of his property. However, he did not consider the possibility of going to prison.
Steve is arrested for murder, arson and a few more crimes. His business, which has been classified as a criminal operation by the government, is also affected by the severity of his crimes. This means that all of Steve’s property and assets will be forfeited the moment he is jailed, leaving the government free to do whatever they want with it. Steve believed that his divorce settlement would be enforced by law and that his wife would receive everything he had laboriously built to secure both their and their children’s futures.
Steve feels bad about putting Irene in such a scenario in the first place after realizing she won’t get a dime from his company after he goes to jail. The Chippendales would still be fine and Irene would still be with him if he hadn’t acted. She’d put as much effort as Steve into making Chippendales a success, and now all of that would be taken away by him. Life would be extremely difficult for Irene as a single mother of two with a husband found guilty of murder and other crimes. Steve didn’t want to get her into financial trouble because that would only make things worse.
Nick’s presence haunts Steve, forcing him to consider his alternatives. He believes he can still escape this situation and make things better just like he did every time before. However, he has since realized his mistake. Every time he tried to make things better, he ended up making them worse. This time he can only leave the situation because there is nothing else he can do. His sentence will determine how much of the property seizure provision will apply. Irene gets everything as planned if he is not convicted because the government cannot carry out its plans without him. Steve kills himself the day before his sentencing to keep him company and leave everything to his family rather than the government.
