61st Street Season 2: Will it be renewed for another season? Here’s everything there is to know!
Not everyone has the luxury of getting justice as depicted in the recent crime drama 61st Street, especially for a black man functioning within Chicago’s dishonest system. Things start to go wrong for Moses when he is arrested on charges of being a gang member.
A story that has been the subject of several crime drama series is portrayed by British screenwriter and executive producer Peter Moffat. Will Moses ever be vindicated, or will the justice system play a game of cat and mouse again?
61st Street Season 2 Cast
In plays such as The People v. OJ Simpson, Emmy-winning actor Courtney B. Vance plays Franklin Roberts. He can be pleased with his two Emmy wins, which confirm the excellent work he did during the debut season of the show. He represents Moses Johnson (Tosin Cole), the show’s protagonist who becomes caught up in Chicago’s corrupt system. Aunjanue Ellis of Martha Roberts of Lovecraft Country fame is his wife and the two have one child. The other cast members are Bentley Greene, who plays Joshua Johnson, Holt McCallan (Mindhunter), Andrene Ward, who plays Norma Johnson, and Jerid Haynes, who plays Big Phil. If the courtroom drama series is picked up for a second season, all actors will have to return to their roles.
